The Deceased H. Ekrem Elginkan was born in İzmir in 1924.

After completing his studies at the Izmir High School for Boys, H. Ekrem Elginkan graduated from Istanbul Technical University (İTU) with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1948.

He founded his first company in 1951.

He launched considerable innovations in Turkish industry with the factories he founded.

H. Ekrem Elginkan remains eternal as a model with his esteemed personality and successful life for all Turkish entrepreneurs.

H. Ekrem Elginkan who took the first step in the institutionalization of his companies and who expressed at every opportunity that this decision was a result of his faith in his fellow workers, aimed to create a Group administered by a foundation. The most important objective during his business life became living up to the survival and progress of the Group on its own.

Full of tolerance, vision and principles to ask his fellow workers "Even if it is I who has erred, state it clearly in your report", the Deceased H. Ekrem Elginkan stood firmly behind the principle of abiding by justice and law.

Mr. H. Ekrem Elginkan passed away to eternity on April 2, 1999.
